This Privacy Policy explains how Tale of the Tape Maker collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our AI fight poster generator service.
1. Information We Collect
Account information: email address, name, and authentication identifiers provided through Clerk. Payment information: handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store credit card numbers. User Content: photos and text you upload to generate images. Usage data: logs of generation requests, template selections, and error reports. Technical data: IP address, browser type, and device information collected automatically.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to: (a) provide and maintain the Service; (b) process payments and manage credits; (c) authenticate users; (d) send transactional emails (receipts, account notices); (e) improve the Service and prevent abuse; (f) comply with legal obligations.
3. AI Processing and Third Parties
Photos and prompts you submit are sent to third-party AI model providers (including Google's Gemini) for image generation. These providers process the data according to their own terms. We do not use your uploaded photos to train AI models.
4. Data Retention
Uploaded photos are processed for generation and are not permanently stored beyond what is needed to deliver the generated result. Generated images may be retained in your account history if you are logged in. Account data is retained while your account is active.
5. Cookies and Tracking
We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We may use privacy-respecting analytics to understand usage patterns. We do not sell your data or share it with advertising networks.
6. Your Rights

7. Security
We use industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (HTTPS) and secure authentication. However, no online service is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your account credentials safe.

The Service is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via the Service or email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.

You have the right to delete your account and all associated personal data at any time. You can do this through the Account settings page in our application. Upon account deletion, we will permanently remove your personal information, generated images, order history, and usage data. Some information may be retained as required by law (e.g., transaction records for tax purposes) or to fulfill ongoing obligations.
11. Data Portability
You have the right to request a copy of your personal data in a portable format. To exercise this right, please contact us through our contact form. We will provide your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format within 30 days of your request.
